Chess City

The Candidates Matches for the 2007 World Chess Championship Tournament will take place from 26 May to 15 June 2007 in Elista, Russia. Elista is mostly a Buddhist majority community so you can just imagine it to be a very spritual, tranquil place.

I would love to be able to visit this place, just imagine a "Chess City" of which has hosted three major FIDE tournaments:

The XXXIII Chess Olympiad in 1998 , the 2004 Women's World Chess Championship, and the 2006 World Chess Championship.
